Maj Magambo Takes Office as New Police CID Boss

The former Chief of Police Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID), AIGP Grace Akullo, has on Thursday handed over office to Maj. Tom Magambo.

The function that took place at CID Headquarters Kibuli was graced by AIGP Jack Bakasumba, the outgoing Chief of Joint Staff. President Yoweri Museveni appointed Maj. Magambo as Police CID boss in a security reshuffle that took place last month.

Magambo has been serving as director of intelligence analysis in the Internal Security Organisation (ISO). He was promoted from the lowest rank in the army to the rank of Major as part of his appointment.
