For some years now the Royal Ascot Goat Race has become the biggest social and entertainment annual event in Kampala fetching thousands of revelers from all corners.

Indeed, this year’s goat race has not disappointed despite being on a halt for the last 5years. The fun-filled event that took place at Speke Resort Munyonyo this time around did not only attract top social celebs, but even politicians.

Among the top politicians who made a rare appearance at the 2019 Goat race is Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah. Oulanyah, also Omoro County MP was treated to a warm reception from the host, Sudhir Ruparelia where the two shared the same table with all sorts of drinks and bites.

Oulanyah has been very instrumental in charity events and has participated in many campaigns meant to raise funds for the vulnerable and sick. It is not a surprise that he was part and parcel of the 2019 Ascot Goat Race. Proceeds from this year’s goat race will go to building proper sanitary toilets for impoverished communities in suburbs of Kamwokya.
