The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has lashed out at those who think they can defeat President Yoweri Museveni.

“General Yoweri Museveni, the most successful revolutionary in African history. I pity those who think they can defeat him,” Lt Gen Kainerugaba posted on his social media, attaching Museveni’s bush war photograph.

This is a repeated warning by the former Special Forces Commander. He made similar warnings last year. “I can assure whoever even thinks of messing with Uganda will get a very bad day. Long live UPDF! Long live Ugandan Special Forces!” he tweeted in October.

He had earlier posted, “Ugandan strong! I never used to believe it but almighty God has made me a believer. Nobody can defeat Uganda! This is God’s Country. Whoever dares will be crushed to dust! Ruhanga asiimwe. Happy Independence Day! God bless Uganda!!

Similar warnings have been made by President Yoweri Museveni, who has on several occasions stated that no one can destabilize the prevailing Uganda’s peace and stability. “There is no human being of any description that can disrupt the prevailing peace and stability in the country. We have built a very strong capacity which is difficult to destroy,” the President said in 2014.

Museveni emphasized the same during the UPDF 37th Tarehe Sita commemoration in Butaleja in 2018 when he said, “Uganda now is in peace- from one corner to the other corner. We defended the peace of Ugandans when we were much weaker. There is absolutely nobody that can disturb our peace.”

During the 39th Tarehe Sita commemoration in Nakaseke district in February this year, President Museveni warned that nobody can disturb the peace Ugandans are enjoying due to “a formidable, disciplined and professional national army.”
