Three Coronavirus Patients Recover after Treatment

Three coronavirus patients have tested negative after battling the deadly pandemic for about 3 weeks now.

According to Dr. Henry Mwebesa, the Director General Health Services, three cases have tested negative twice and are being considered to be discharged by the clinicians.

With three showing no more signs and symptoms, Uganda's confirmed COVID-19 cases now stand at 50 after all the 338 samples tested yesterday returned negative.

Without any confirmed death, Uganda has tested accumulative of 3,862 samples and a total of 538 individuals are under institutional quarantine 571 contacts to the confirmed cases are under follow up.

"All the 53 confirmed cases are in a stable condition at Mulago National Specialized Hospital (20), Entebbe Grade B(31), Adjumani (1) and Hoima (1) hospitals.

Dr Mwebesa continues to appeal to the public to remain calm, avoid stigmatizing the families of those taken into quarantine or in hospitals for isolation.

"The communities should refrain from harassing travelers who recently returned from abroad, but should encourage them to come and test for COVID-19," he said.
