Two Shot Dead in City Robbery

Police on Wednesday night shot dead two robbers that invaded a one Natif Nicholas’ home along Matayo Close, Kigowa II Zone in Bukoto II Parish.

About four unknown thugs had attacked and seriously assaulted the private security guard and also intercepted the owner of the home Natif Nicholas, bundled him in his vehicle Harrier white in color registration number: UBD 239A . It’s at this time that the police response team descended on the area and opened fire killing two of them on the spot. The other two escaped.

The victim was also injured in the leg but he is out of danger. He was later rushed to Nakasero hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.

“We want to greatly thank the family of Natif for the timely reporting of the incident and for having the contact of their nearest police station. We also want to appreciate the Officer in charge Tuba Police and his team for the quick response when they were called upon and also thank the local leaders for promoting high levels of vigilance in the area,” the police said in a statement.

The two bodies have been taken to City mortuary Mulago and efforts to identify them are underway.
