The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has contributed One Hundred Million Uganda Shillings (UGX 100,000,000) towards the coronation of the new Omukama of Tooro and the activities of the Kingdom.
The cash contribution was delivered by Col. Christopher Muwumba, the Military Assistant to the CDF.
The contribution was received by Prince Charles Kamurasi (Musuuga); Msgr Isaiah Mayombo, Chairperson of the Organising Committee; Rt Hon Basaliza Henry Mutegeki, Deputy Prime Minister; Dr Richard Rwabuhinga, Chairperson of Protocol; Owek Richard Murangi Mpagi, Finance Minister of Tooro Kingdom; and Hon. David Kabanda, Head of the PLU National Chairman's Office.
While delivering the contribution, Col. Muwumba conveyed warm greetings and well wishes from Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also the Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations. He congratulated His Majesty on the upcoming coronation and wished him, the Royal Family, and the people of Tooro peace, unity, and prosperity.

Additionally, the Chairman of the Organising Committee echoed the Musuuga's words, thanking the CDF for the financial support.
The coronation of the new Omukama, King Edward Rukidi Nyabong I, is scheduled for September 29. It follows the demise of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru IV.
