The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, brought humour to X when he shared his experience with Israeli-American televangelist Benny Hinn.
According to the CDF, he once tried Hinn's prayer and ended up losing hair. "I tried Benny Hinn's prayers long ago. I asked Almighty God not to give me a bald head, as soon as I mentioned Benny Hinn, He removed my hair extra fast!" he posted on X.
BBC presenter Alan Kasujja, who is a long-time friend of Gen Kainerugaba, reacted to the post with laughing emojis, and the General asked if he remembered the incident.
"Allan... you remember the prayers. Apparently, God doesn't care about hair. ????????" Gen Kainerugaba asked Kasujja, who responded: "We have really prayed. And we continue to pray. Maybe one day things will change."
Benny Hinn was in Uganda for four days, which he spent preaching at Rubaga Miracle Centre, led by Pastor Robert Kayanja.
President Yoweri Museveni on Monday hosted Benny Hinn at the State Lodge – Nakasero, and the evangelist prayed for the President. Taking to X, Gen Kainerugaba said: "Someone prayed for Mzee without Security's permission?? How did that happen? Those who prayed and those who allowed the prayers to take place are all under investigations."
Benny Hinn left Uganda yesterday.
