Namanve’s story as an industrial park began in 1997, when the area was designated as part of Uganda’s national strategy to accelerate industrial growth. Under the stewardship of the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), the park was envisioned as a serviced zone where investors could establish factories, warehouses and business operations, driving employment and technology transfer.

“We’ve grown up in a time where we want to feel seen,” says Clinton, a university student in Kampala. “And when someone in leadership acknowledges us, interacts with us, even casually it matters more than people think.”

This mission marks one of the most successful humanitarian outcomes in recent months for the ongoing operations in the region.

Highly placed sources told this publication that the UPDF has taken a keen interest in the case, noting that ‘decisive action will be taken once investigations are complete.’

More than 20 Ugandan tour operators participated in the global exhibition, showcasing the country’s diverse tourism offerings, from wildlife safaris and cultural experiences to adventure tourism.
