Speaker Oboth, Deputy Tayebwa, and Cabinet Ministers Assigned PLU 'Patriotic Officer' Numbers

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has assigned Patriotic Officer numbers to several high-profile government officials, including the Speaker of Parliament, the Deputy Speaker, and various cabinet ministers.

The development was confirmed in a statement issued by Twalla Fadil, the PLU Secretary General. 

According to Fadil, the numbers were awarded by the PLU Chairman, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, in recognition of the officials' efforts toward the growth of the organization and their adherence to its founding principles.

The assigned designations are classified as "Patriotic Officer" (PO) numbers.

Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Jacob Macksons Oboth, tops the new list of  the new inductees with PO 059, followed by Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa with PO 060. The appointments feature prominently across executive positions, with Defence Minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka and several State and Cabinet Ministers receiving consecutive registry slots.

The full list of the newly designated Patriotic Officers includes: PO 059 Rt. Hon. Jacob Macksons Oboth, PO 060 Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, PO 061 Hon. Kiryowa Kiwanuka, PO 062 Hon. Anifa Bangirana Kawooya, PO 063 Hon. Dr. Charles Ayume, PO 064 Hon. Nyamutoro Phiona, PO 065 Hon. Beatrice Akello Akori, PO 066 Hon. Lydia Wanyotto Mutende, PO 067 Hon. Lotte Paul Komol, PO 068 Hon. Katusiime Jovia, PO 069 Hon. Hamson Obua Denis, and PO 070 Mr. Abong Thomas Lomuria.

The internal structural adjustments come amidst ongoing mobilization efforts by the PLU across different regions of the country.
