360 Ugandans repatriated from Oman

The ministry of foreign affairs will today welcome over 300 Ugandans that are returning from Oman, a country on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia.

"The general public is hereby informed of the incoming arrival of 360 Ugandan nationals who were stranded in the Sultanate of Oman," the ministry said in a statement.

It said their flights departed from Muscat International Airport this morning at 10:40am and is expected to arrive at Entebbe International Airport this evening aboard Salaam Air flight numbers OV 1024 and OV 1026 respectively. 

Uganda started repatriating her citizens stranded abroad in June and hundreds have since returned. They got stranded there following the closure of airports to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
