654 Ugandans repatriated from India, Saudi Arabia

A total of 322 people left King Abdulaziz International Airport at 2pm using flight number SV 7842 and arrived at Entebbe International Airport on Sunday evening.

A group of 654 Ugandans and legal residents who were stranded in India and Saudi Arabia have returned to Uganda, according to the ministry of foreign affairs.


A total of 322 people left King Abdulaziz International Airport at 2pm using flight number SV 7842 and arrived at Entebbe International Airport on Sunday evening.


It was the fifth repatriation exercise the Embassy undertook with the first four having taken place on 22nd and the others on 28th July, 12th August and 3rd September. Over 1000 Ugandans and legal residents have since returned from Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Oman.

Those from India are returning today and they will arrive at Entebbe International Airport at 5pm. 

The group is comprised of 332 Ugandans and they left Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Mumbai at 10:50am.
