President Museveni Receives Message From President Felix Tshisekedi
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda has received a special message from the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Felix Tshisekedi. The message was conveyed by President Tshisekedi’s special envoy, H.E. Therese Kayikwamba Wagner, who serves as the DRC’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Francophonie. She was accompanied by H.E. Alexis Gisaro Muvunyi, the DRC’s Senior Minister of Infrastructure and Public Works.
The meeting, held at State House Entebbe, focused on key issues of peace and security in the region, reflecting the growing cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
President Museveni expressed his appreciation for President Tshisekedi’s decision to join the East African Community (EAC), noting that this move could play a crucial role in achieving lasting peace in the DRC and the broader region.
“I am always available for dialogue with President Tshisekedi and other East African leaders to address the challenges facing our region,” President Museveni stated, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts for regional stability.
In response, H.E. Kayikwamba conveyed President Tshisekedi’s gratitude for Uganda’s support and leadership. She reaffirmed the DRC's commitment to working closely with Uganda to advance their shared goals of peace and development.
