Kira Deputy RDC Sekasamba Transferred in Lone Reshuffle

President Yoweri Museveni has with immediate effect transfered the Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Kira Municipality Joseph Sekasamba Muhoozi.

In a lone reshuffle communicated by Hajji Yunus Kakande, the Secretary of the Office of the President, Sekasamba has been transferred to Kyenjojo District as Deputy RDC.

According to the transfer letter dated April 3, Sekasamba has been ordered to hand over office before 20th April. His transfer has been linked to land wrangles involving locals and some tycoons from Kira Municipality.

His name was first tainted when he was marred in land wrangles with Kisosokole family where he allegedly connived with some family members to grab the land which was controversially sold to one Yusuf Semakula. When the rightful owners of the land appeared, Semakula had to sue Sekasamba through his lawyers of Lukwaga and Co advocates.

Sekasamba was later summoned to submit his defence but his case has not yet commenced due to Coronavirus virus saga.
