The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) took top honours in the shooting range competition at the ongoing Inter-Forces Games in Gulu City.
The military contingent secured both the individual and team gold medals after outscoring rival security agencies.
The Uganda Police Force (UPF) finished second to claim the silver medal.

The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) took third place, while the Uganda Prisons Service ranked fourth in the competition.
Major General Richard Karemire, the Joint Staff for Formal Education, Sports and Culture, praised the participating marksmen for their high level of marksmanship and discipline.

Maj Gen Karemire noted that the annual games reinforce inter-agency synergy, operational discipline, and physical fitness across the armed and security forces.
Contingents from the UPDF, Police, UWA, and Prisons continue to compete across multiple sporting disciplines as the tournament progresses in Gulu City.
