PLU Expands Grassroots Mobilisation for Gen. Kainerugaba With Buvuma Signature Drive

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has launched a mass drive to collect endorsement signatures in support of Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba for presidency, alongside a digital registration campaign across Buvuma Island.

The dual exercise combines physical signature petitions with an online registration drive to mobilize island communities and expand grassroots structures in the Lake Victoria district.

While addressing local leaders, community organizers, and supporters, the Deputy Director mobilization PLU Henry Basaliza who was the chief guest commended leaders in the area for facilitating the mobilization effort, including Buvuma District Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Judith Naguja, Buvuma County MP and State Minister Hon. Robert Migadde Ndugwa, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC), and local security authorities.

The launch drew key regional political officers and coordinators, including Molly Mukidi, Hon. Jimmy Lwanga, Madina Katushabe, and Obed Twinamatsiko, who were recognized for steering the island-wide operational rollout.

PLU executives urged branch coordinators, youth leaders, and district mobilizers to carry the exercise across all landing sites, fishing communities, and inland villages, emphasizing disciplined, coordinated groundwork.

The coordinators stressed that the endorsement will depend on aggressive, village-level civic engagement as momentum builds for General Kainerugaba across the country.
