President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called on Ugandan youth to deepen their involvement in patriotic activities and align with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to strengthen mobilisation across the country.
The President made the remarks during a meeting with youthful patriots in Muyenga, Kampala, on Wednesday. The gathering was organized by Commissioner Hellen Seku and brought together graduates of patriotic courses, enterprise-based groups, social groups such as single mothers, and pressure group mobilizers.
Museveni said more than 450,000 young people have so far graduated from patriotic courses, creating a strong foundation for grassroots mobilisation. He urged the groups to maintain close contact with the Patriotic Secretariat to ensure coordinated and effective efforts.
“I urged them to keep in touch with the Patriotic Secretariat and collaborate with the NRM to strengthen their mobilisation efforts. I welcome them,” Museveni said.
The President emphasized the importance of youth participation in nation-building, noting that structured mobilisation through patriotism is vital for consolidating Uganda’s political stability and economic progress.
