    UPDF Mountain Division Gets New Operations And Training Officer

The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces Mountain Infantry Division has welcomed Col Innocent Tukashaba as its Division Operations and Training Officer.

He takes over from Col Richard Kitata Sseguya, who has been appointed Commandant of the Mountain Warfare Training School (MWTS).

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Mountain Infantry Division Commander Maj Gen Stephen Mugerwa called for stronger teamwork among officers to ensure the Division remains effective in its operations.

Maj Gen Mugerwa commended Col Kitata Sseguya for his contribution to the Division, particularly his role in the successes registered under Operation Shujaa.

Maj Gen Mugerwa described Col Tukashaba’s appointment as an infusion of fresh energy into the Division. He tasked him with building on the gains made by his predecessor to ensure continuity and effective execution of operations in eastern DRC.

Col Kitata Sseguya commended Maj Gen Mugerwa for his guidance and teamwork during his tenure.

Col Tukashaba pledged to build on the foundations already established and strengthen them where necessary to support the Division’s mission.

The Deputy Division Commander, Brig Gen David Opeero, and senior and junior officers of the Division attended the handover.
