Gen. Kainerugaba, NORINCO’s Hongda Review 38-Year Partnership with UPDF

The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, held a meeting this afternoon with a delegation from China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (NORINCO).

Mr. Liang Hongda, NORINCO's General Manager of the African & American Department, led the delegation that visited Gen. Kainerugaba at the Special Forces Headquarters in Entebbe.

During the meeting, both sides reflected on their 38-year-long strategic relationship that began in 1986.

Gen. Kainerugaba, who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, congratulated NORINCO on its position as the largest aerospace and defense company in the world, with an annual revenue exceeding 82 billion dollars.

The Chinese delegation also extended an invitation for the Ugandan General to visit China, as he last visited 14 years ago.

The meeting was also attended by the UPDF Artillery Division Commander, Brig. Gen. Dan Kakono.
