How Edwin Pelf Plans to Make Money from Boxing Content

Ugandan boxer and blogger Edwin Pelf plans to turn boxing content into a sustainable source of income.

Pelf believes YouTube advertising, sponsorships and brand partnerships offer the strongest commercial opportunities. He also hopes to earn from paid promotions, interviews, social media advertising and event coverage.

Partnerships with boxing gyms, fighters and promoters could provide more income. However, he says success will depend on producing quality content and building a loyal audience in Uganda and abroad.

Pelf hopes that a larger following will attract established sponsors and allow him to pursue boxing blogging as a full-time job.

Uganda’s boxing content market remains small and its financial progress is slow. However, Pelf believes the growing interest in behind-the-scenes sports content can create new opportunities.

His videos take viewers inside training camps, sparring sessions and fighters’ daily routines. They also cover meal preparation, recovery, boxing techniques and conditioning methods.

Pelf says creating such content requires passion, consistency and creativity. It also demands a willingness to support a boxing community where many fighters face financial hardship.

“As a Ugandan boxing content creator, I aim to showcase the fighters, the stories and the energy behind the sport,” he says.

His wider goal is to give Ugandan fighters more visibility and connect African boxers with fans across the world.
