UPDF netball coach Andrew Waswa praised his squad for displaying unwavering discipline and composure under pressure.
Waswa also commended the military high command for backing the team with adequate logistical and training resources.
In the men’s handball final, the UPDF squad overcame the Uganda Police Force with a 33-27 victory to secure the gold.
The Uganda Police Force turned the tables in the women’s handball final, defeating the UPDF 36-23 to take the crown.
The annual Interforces Games convene personnel from Uganda’s armed and security forces to foster institutional camaraderie, operational synergy, and physical fitness.
The 2026 edition took place under the theme, “Building Synergy Through Sports.”
