EC sets campaign and polling dates for 2021 presidential elections
The Commission says the candidates will campaign from November 9, 2020, to January 12, 2021.
The Independent Electoral Commission on Wednesday confirmed January 14, 2021, as the date Ugandans will go to polls to pick a president from the 11 candidates.
According to the Commission, the candidates that will be running in the coming elections are Yoweri Museveni (NRM), Mugisha Muntu (Alliance for National Transformation), Robert Kyagulanyi (National Unity Platform) and Nobert Mao (Democratic Party).
The other candidates are contesting as independents and they are Henry Tumukunde, Joseph Kabuleeta, John Katumba, Fred Mwesigye, Nancy Kalembe and Willy Mayambala.
The Commission says the candidates will campaign from November 9, 2020, to January 12, 2021.
