Museveni Receives Credentials for New Israel Envoy as Netenyahu Concludes Visit

President Yoweri Museveni on Monday afternoon received credentials of the new Israel Ambassador to Uganda, Joseph Oded.

The function held at Entebbe airport was witnessed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sam Kutesa and that of the Presidency, Esther Mbayo. This was during the President’s return from Luanda, Angola where he attended a one-day Quadripartite Summit in the Angola Capital on Sunday.

Museveni was on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, screened for Coronavirus by Ministry of Health medical officials, as a measure to ensure that the virus that has its epicenter in Wuhan, China, is kept out of the country.

Meanwhile Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu has concluded his one day state visit to Uganda. Netenyahu arrived in the country on Monday morning. During his stay in the country, Prime Minister Netanyahu held bilateral discussions with President Museveni at State House, Entebbe.

Addressing the media at the conclusion of the Prime Minister’s visit, President Museveni said that he, together with his guest, had had a long discussion on a number of issues of mutual importance between Israel and Uganda, especially in the area of defence and security, agriculture and industry.
