Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda (CCBU) is reaffirming its commitment as the official hydration partner for the upcoming third edition of the Tusker Lite Mount Rwenzori Marathon. This partnership highlights CCBU's dedication to supporting the event, which is renowned for its scenic route and cultural immersion.
The marathon is scheduled to take place on August 24 in Kasese district, with participants covering distances of 42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km. CCBU, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), will ensure that runners remain hydrated throughout the marathon by supplying Rwenzori Pure Natural Mineral Water to all participants. This marks the third consecutive year that CCBU has collaborated with the marathon.
"We are delighted to once again be a part of this exciting event that showcases the beauty of the Rwenzori region," stated Kirunda Magoola, Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability Director at CCBU.
CCBU will be contributing over Shs173 million to the marathon.
Amos Wekesa, Team Lead at the Tusker Lite Mount Rwenzori Marathon, praised CCBU for its unwavering support, noting that the company’s commitment to providing water is crucial to the event's success.
