The Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) and Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has appointed Kasambya County Member of Parliament Daudi Kabanda to head the PLU Chairman's Office.
"Hon. Daudi Kabanda is appointed the Head of my office as Chairman of Patriotic League of Uganda," Gen Kainerugaba posted on X on the evening of June 27, 2026.
Gen Kainerugaba, who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, added: "Since PLU has expanded immeasurably in just 3 years because of our popularity with Ugandans. I shall open a second office, just for the Chairman PLU. Hon. Kabanda will run it on my behalf."
Kabanda previously served as PLU General Secretary before he was recently replaced by Fadil Twalla.
Twalla congratulated Kabanda, saying: "Congratulations, Comrade Hon. David Kabanda, for your new appointment."
Kabanda also welcomed the appointment.
"I am honored to receive the news of my appointment by my Chairman, the great Leader of PLU, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, as Head of his Office. Thank you Sir for the trust and confidence you have placed in me once again.🙏" he posted on X
