The PLU Coordinator for Diaspora Affairs, Mr. Steven Rutasharara, and the Chairperson of the PLU USA Chapter, Mr. Ronnie Kananura, led a delegation of Ugandan diaspora members in donating hampers to new mothers at Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital.

The team was received by the hospital's management, led by Hospital Director Dr. Nsubuga John Bosco.

During a meeting that followed, the delegation and hospital officials discussed potential areas of cooperation between the PLU Diaspora Chapters and the hospital's outreach programmes in Greater Wakiso and Luwero districts.

The meeting was also attended by Senior Hospital Administrator Richard Tumwesigye, Principal Nursing Officer Mutonyi Roselyn Walimbwa, Assistant Principal Nursing Officer Magoba Barbra, and Hospital Administrator Christopher Ogwal Oling.

The delegation also planted trees within the hospital grounds as a symbol to commemorate the PLU Chairman Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba's 52nd birthday. The donation and tree-planting initiative form part of a series of activities to honour the General's birthday while giving back to communities in Uganda.
