Uganda's ambassador to Croatia Elizabeth Paula Napeyok met with Ivan Barbaric, the vice president of the Croatian Chamber of Economy to explore opportunities of enhancing business linkages between the two countries.

In the Tuesday meeting, the duo agreed to host business events aimed at boosting trade.

"It was agreed that a Uganda coffee promotion event be held in Zagreb in Jan 2022 and Uganda/Croatia virtual business forum be held by March 2022 to discuss business opportunities in Uganda for the Croatia business partners," reads a statement issued by the Ugandan Embassy in Rome, where Napeyok resides.

"This was an increase of 16% and 50% in quantity & value compared to the same month last year," UCDA said.

According to the Sept. report, 27.75% of the coffee went to Italy, which was the biggest consumer, followed by Germany (12.28), Algeria (11.03), India (10.09), Sudan (9.5), Morocco (6.13), US  (5.03), Spain (4.02), Belgium (2.78) and Israel (1.93).
