Uganda will host the Fourth Edition of the Uganda–United Arab Emirates (UAE) Business Forum from October 27 to 29, 2025, at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala. The event aims to strengthen trade, investment, and innovation partnerships between the two nations as Uganda positions itself as a regional hub for sustainable growth.
Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with Uganda’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai, the Forum has evolved into a premier platform for advancing economic and commercial cooperation. Previous editions were successfully held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Kampala.
The three-day Forum will bring together government officials, investors, business leaders, and innovators from both countries. Participants will engage in field visits, exhibitions, and panel discussions focused on key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, oil and gas, renewable energy, infrastructure, innovation, and real estate.
Ramathan Ggoobi, Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury, is expected to present Uganda’s economic outlook and highlight reforms driving private sector growth.
Delegates from major UAE business councils—including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah Chambers of Commerce and Industry—are expected to attend.
Ambassador Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Uganda’s Ambassador to the UAE, said the Forum marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation. “The relationship between the UAE and Uganda has grown steadily over the past seven years. Hosting this edition in Kampala reflects our shared commitment to move beyond dialogue toward tangible partnerships,” he said, urging businesses to seize the opportunity.
Margaret Kafeero, Head of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described the Forum as “a bridge between policy and partnership, where ideas transcend borders and transform into tangible outcomes.” She emphasized that the event not only promotes economic collaboration but also enhances cultural and technological exchange.
The Forum will feature Government-to-Government, Government-to-Business, and Business-to-Business sessions, designed to facilitate collaboration, policy dialogue, and market expansion. Delegates will also tour Uganda’s leading sectors to witness firsthand the country’s growing industrial and investment potential.
As Uganda prepares to host its international partners, the Forum stands as a testament to the country’s proactive diplomacy and its commitment to building mutually beneficial global partnerships.
