An unidentified woman was on Monday morning knocked dead at the Garuga-Entebbe Road junction in Kitala, Katabi town council, Wakiso district.
Residents say the deceased was knocked in the wee hours of the night by a runaway car which did not stop. She did not die immediately but there was no emergency rescue to rush her to hospital and oncoming vehicles ran over her body.
At the time our reporters visited the scene, the deceased’s body which had been crushed beyond recognition lay in the middle of the tarmac road.
