Uganda Police Force numberless motor vehicle (Armed Personnel Carrier, (APC) from Bugolobi has knocked dead a cyclist near Nakawa traffic lights on Port Bell Road.
The accident occurred on Wednesday morning at around 8:40. Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango identifies the victim as Eric Muyinza who was riding a Honda motorcycle registration number UDZ 074L.
“The rider died on the spot and his body was taken to City Mortuary for postmortem,” Onyango said adding that the police vehicle has now been impounded by the Inspector of Vehicles at Naguru as investigations into the cause of the accident get underway.
