The Ministry of Education and Sports has scheduled the Senior Five selection exercise for February 20 and 21, 2025.
Education Minister Janet Museveni announced these dates during the release of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results at State Lodge, Nakasero, Kampala.
She emphasized that students who sat for the 2024 UCE examinations under both the new lower secondary curriculum and the old curriculum, and who qualified for post-UCE placement, should be included in the selection process.
"The first term reporting date for the Senior Five class of 2025 is March 3, 2025," Mrs. Museveni stated.
The Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) for lower secondary education was introduced in 2020, leading to assessment reforms that now include Continuous Assessment and Project Work alongside traditional end-of-cycle examinations.
