The United States has paused military aid to Ukraine, with the White House stating that it is reviewing the support to ensure it contributes to a peaceful resolution of the ongoing war.

President Donald Trump has yet to comment on the decision, but White House officials told CBS that he "has been clear" about his focus on peace. "We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well," the administration stated.

The pause will remain in place until Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky demonstrates a commitment to peace, according to reports from Bloomberg and Fox News.

The Trump administration is also considering reducing intelligence sharing with Kyiv, CNN reported.

The US remains Ukraine’s largest military aid provider, having sent $69 billion in weapons, equipment, and financial support between 2022 and 2024, according to the Kiel Institute.
