The Ministry of Health has confirmed five new Covid-19 cases including an 8-month-old baby whose father traveled from Kenya recently. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 14.
The 5 new cases are: 3 Ugandans and 2 Chinese. The 2 Chinese are part of the 6 who were intercepted in Zombo District.
“As of today, 25 March 2020, there are 5 new confirmed cases for COVID-19 bringing the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country to 14,” Dr. Mwebesa, the Director General of Health Services in the ministry of health said.

Earlier, the Minister of State for Primary Health Care, Dr. Joyce Moriku Kaducu had tweeted that this is a critical time for every Ugandan.
“Dear Ugandans, this is a very critical moment for everyone as the number of positive cases keeps scaling up. Five more people have been confirmed positive, including two of the six Chinese that were got in Zombo. They cannot be presented in court for fear of further spread,” she tweeted.
