Arua Municipality Member of Parliament Kassiano Wadri who was last year appointed the coordinator of Bobi Wine's People Power for West Nile has joined the Alliance for National Transformation.

Wadri who is a strong confidant of Kyadondo East legislator and leader of the National Unity Platform Party Robert Kyagulanyi was officially received by ANT on Thursday morning.

Over the past one-month, there has been mass defection of senior members from Kyagulanyi’s camp, most of them joining the ANT while others went back to the ruling National Resistance Movement.

Among the top shots that joined ANT are Ntungamo Municipality legislator Gerald Karuhanga, Jinja Municipality legislator Paul Mwiru, and now Arua Municipality legislator Wadri.

Other MPs such as Mbwatekamwa Gaffa and Barnabas Tinkasimire ha also been unveiled as People Power coordinators in Ankore and Bunyoro but they have since renewed their cooperation with their NRM party and chairman President Museveni.

Kyagulanyi is said to be particularly bitter since he believes he was instrumental in the election that brought Wadri to parliament in 2018.
