State minister of finance for Investments Evelyn Anite has conceded the loss after being beaten by Dr Charles Ayume in the NRM Primaries for Koboko Municipality seat.
Before Friday poll, Anite was all over the moon claiming that her victory is guaranteed. She later shockingly lost to Dr Ayume, son to former Speaker Francis Ayume.
In her message on Twitter, Anite has conceded the loss, but blames it on mafias and haters who allegedly rigged her out.
“To the mafias & haters, I concede you’ve won the battle by stealing my victory but the war rages on,” Anite tweeted.
She added that NRM Party will miss her because the new candidate-Charles Ayume is in bed with the opposition and that he is simply riding on his father's legacy.
Several other ministers lost in the NRM Primaries.
Among them include; Karooro Okurut, Elioda Tumwesigye, Akiror Egunyu, Rukutana Mwesigwa etc.
