Nomination dates for MP, local council and presidential candidates announced

The Electoral Commission (EC) confirmed dates on which candidates in the races for presidency, parliamentary and local council elections will be nominated.

The Commission says for local government elections, candidates will be nominated from Sept. 21 to Oct. 1, while MPs will be nominated from Oct. 12-13.

For those running for the presidency, nominations will run for two days on Nov. 2 and 3.

 

The contenders have been urged to visit their district EC office or the Commission's website to get forms.
