Simba Automotives Appreciates SFC Work With Motorcycle Donations

Simba Automotives, a Ugandan company that assembles motorcycles in the country has donated six motorcycles worth Shs 60 Million to the Special Forces Command (SFC) in appreciation of its role in ensuring peace and security in the country.

The donation was received by the Deputy Commander SFC Brig Gen Peter Candia on behalf of the SFC Commander Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Receiving the motorcycles at the SFC Headquarters in Entebbe, Brig Candia welcomed the donation, saying that the motorcycles will help the SFC in executing particular tasks that require swift movement.

Speaking at the handover event, Mr. Paresh Shukla, managing director, Simba Automotives noted that they had decided to donate the mobility equipment to UPDF particularly to the SFC for having maintained security in the country hence creating an enabling environment for businesses to flourish.

Mr. Shukla explained that he has been in Uganda long enough to experience the past chaotic regimes and how businesses and the economy suffered before the NRM restored peace and security.

The handover ceremony was also attended by senior SFC officers including Col Felix Busizori, Lt Col McDans Kamugira, and Lt Col J.B Asinguza among others.

Having assembled motorbikes in Uganda since 2017, Simba Automotives, a Ugandan-owned company now plans to go a step further and start manufacturing them in the country.
