Deputy Speaker of Parliament Among Anita Annet has called for unity and cooperation from Members of the 11th Parliament.

Among made the remarks while closing a 3-day induction for 529 MPs of the 11th Parliament.

"Elections are over, it's now time for us to work for the benefit of our people who sent us to Parliament. When we work together, then we can achieve more beyond what is expected of us," Among said.

She also called upon MPs to consult on any issues from the  MPs who served in the previous parliaments to help induct them from time to time.
"Feel free to consult other experienced MPs on issues regarding the Rules of Procedures. It is through consultations that we can perfect," Among said.

The deputy speaker expressed happiness that the 11th parliament would be with more women lawyers than the past Parliaments.

"In this new Parliament, gender balance is well manifested. I am glad that there are more women lawyers in this Parliament than the previous Parliament. So the 11th Parliament has started with good momentum and I can guarantee that it will be the Parliament of the people," she said.

Anita Among is one of the female lawyers in the new Parliament.
