Since the arrest of Kakwenza Rukirabashaija, his lawyer, Eron Kiiza has been issuing several statements regarding the state in which Kakwenza is.
In one of the statements on Twitter, Kiiza published pieces of cloths that he claimed belonged to Kakwenza adding that Kakwenza has been 'badly tortured' although he did not provide substantial evidence.
However, the most shocking development is contained in a document filed before the Makindye Chief Magistrates' Court court where he claims that the Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba boasted about arresting Kakwenza.
In the document seeking the release of Kakwenza, Kiiza & Mugisha advocates refer to a fake tweet attributed to Gen Kainerugaba.
Meanwhile, the Director Information UPDF Land Forces headquarters and the office of the senior presidential adviser for special operations, Maj Chris Magezi expressed shock at the inclusion of the fake tweet in the documents filed before the court.
"The reference by Kakwenza’s legal representatives to a bogus tweet (frame 1) is quite disgraceful. It only perpetuates the repulsive practice by some wayward elements in our society that forgery, disinformation & wanton abuse on social media is okay and without consequence. Sad!" Maj Magezi said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, latest information reveals that Ugandan intelligence has discovered that Kakwenza is bankrolled by Rwanda to undertake a smear campaign againt President Museveni and the Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
A highly placed security source told this website earlier Tuesday that after thorough investigations, Kakwenza was found to be working as a Rwandan agent charged with tarnishing the name of the President and the First Family.
"We have confirmed that Kakwenza is a Rwandese agent," the source told this reporter.
