Brig Busizoori Takes Over as SFC Commander

Brig Gen. Peter Candia who had been commander Special Forces Command (SFC) has been replaced by Brig Felix Busizoori.

The hand over/takeover ceremony was held Wednesday at the SFC headquarters in Entebbe.

The function was presided over by the Chief of Defense Forces, Gen Wilson Mbadi.

Brig Busizoori has served in various capacities and has until yesterday been the deputy commander SFC. He previously served as Director Personnel and Administration.

Meanwhile, Brig Candia is heading to the National Defence College for further training.

Brig Candia has been in the position since replacing Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba last year.

While handing over to the new leadership then, Gen Kainerugaba warned against wastage of resources.

Some of the recent former SFC commanders include Maj Gen James Birungi, Maj Gen Don Nabasa and Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who is currently the commander of the UPDF land forces.
