Former minister of ethics and integrity, Fr Simon Lokodo is dead.

Lokodo who has died aged 64 years served as Minister of State for Ethics & Integrity in the Office of the President of Uganda from 2011.

Previously he was the Minister of State for Industry from 2009 to 2011. 

At the time of his death, he was a member of the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC).

"It’s with great shock and pain that we‘ve learnt of the passing of our Honourable Member of the Commission, Fr. Simon Lokodo. He passed on this morning in Geneva Switzerland ????????. The Commission will share details in due course," UHRC said in a statement.

It is not clear if Lokodo was in Switzerland for treatment or official government duties.
