The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special  Operations Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba hosted a delegation from Israel at the Land Forces Heaquarters in Bombo.

Gen Kainerugaba who is also the Commander Land Forces of the UPDF welcomed the delegation and thanked them for their visit.

The Israeli delegation was led by their Minister of Defence while Gen Kainerugaba was flanked by senior officers from the Land Forces.

“Today, I was happy to meet a large delegation from Israel's Defence Industries. It is led by their Ministry of Defence. Israel continues to be a close strategic partner for Uganda. We thank them for their visit and interest in deepening our partnership,” Gen Kainerugaba tweeted shortly after the meeting.

The Israeli delegation that arrived in the country recently has also met other senior leaders in Uganda’s defence ministry. They are expected to meet President Yoweri Museveni before concluding their visit to Uganda.
