Thousands Welcome Gen Kainerugaba in Kitgum

The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba had planned to visit the northern Ugandan district of Kitgum for several weeks.

The purpose of the visit was to meet with the local authorities and assess the security situation in the area. The anticipation of his arrival created a buzz throughout the district.

Today, the people of Kitgum woke up early, dressed in their MK branded Tshirts and lined up along the streets to welcome Gen Muhoozi.

The roads were lined with flags and banners displaying his name and title, and the streets were filled with people eagerly waiting for his arrival. The crowd cheered and waved as the convoy made its way through the streets.

Gen Muhoozi was seated in an open car waving back at the people. The General was welcomed by the area Woman MP Lillian Aber and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Okello Oryem.

Dr Balaam Barugahara a senior member of the MK army was also present to welcome his principal.

Gen Kainerugaba is expected to participate in various activities in different parts of the area.
