The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba today hosted a joint meeting with Her Excellency Signe Winding Albjerg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, and Her Excellency Frederieke Quispel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, at the Special Forces Command Headquarters.

During the meeting, the CDF described the meeting with the two diplomats as a rare and significant occasion, underscoring the strength and importance of a collaborative spirit.

Gen Kainerugaba also highlighted the aligned foreign policy approaches of both Denmark and the Netherlands, which he said promotes respectful, collaborative, and locally-led partnership.

The CDF reinforced the symbolic importance of the meeting, calling it "a powerful symbol of solidarity" that reaffirms the most enduring progress is achieved through shared responsibility.

In their remarks, the two Ambassadors thanked the CDF for the meeting and commended the strong bilateral ties between their respective countries and Uganda. They reaffirmed their nations' commitment to deepening these partnerships and fostering continued cooperation.
