The Ugandan government has immediately declared Robert Amsterdam and Jeffrey Smith (Pictured below) persona non grata, banning them from the country.
A highly placed government source, speaking anonymously, stated the decision stems from the pair’s "direct and illegal interference in the internal affairs of Uganda." The source accused them of engaging in sabotage against Uganda's international interests and actively promoting subversive groups within the country.
"In short, they have proven themselves to be enemies of Uganda," the source told this publication. "They should never dare to set foot here because they will be arrested."
The declaration renders the two foreigners inadmissible to Uganda, with security authorized to detain them upon any attempted entry.
This decisive action follows years of documented activity in which these individuals have orchestrated international media campaigns to discredit and blackmail the Ugandan government and its officials. Their concerted efforts have extended to lobbying global financial institutions, such as the IMF and World Bank, to isolate Uganda and curtail essential international engagements.
Internationally, the two are known for their consistent pattern of aligning with and supporting subversive groups, often targeting the stability and security of sovereign nations, particularly in Africa.
Within Uganda, their campaigns have specifically and repeatedly targeted the highest levels of leadership, including the President and the Chief of Defence Forces, through methods widely characterized as political blackmail.
