President Yoweri Museveni is back home at the conclusion of a two day official visit to South Africa, during which he joined other Heads of State and Government for the inaugural and swearing-in ceremony of Cyril Ramaphosa as the 6th democratically elected President of the Republic of South Africa.
The colourful ceremony took place at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday. The President was on Sunday received at Entebbe Airport by Minister for Presidency, Esther Mbayo and Head of Public Service, John Mitala, among others.
"I congratulate His Excellency Ramaphosa and the ANC party for the victory and the magnificent function. Uganda and South Africa have a long, deep political and economic bond, which we hope to strengthen with the new government,” Museveni posted on social media while still in South Africa.
