Amaji Primary School in Kamdini Sub County, Oyam District will soon get an extreme makeover as part of the 600MW Karuma Hydropower Project Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm.
The school will be built new classroom blocks, administration block, staff houses, dormitories for both boys and girls, main hall and kitchen. The school currently has an enrolment of 1048 pupils and 20 teachers coming from the nearby areas of Kamdini, Tenam, Tetochi, Atura, Kanyogoga and Nora among others.
Other CSR projects soon to be implemented will be the upgrade of Ducwinyi Health Centre III and Masindi Military Barracks Health Centre. The total cost of these projects is $1.5 Million (Approximately UGX 18,862,500,000).
