Kyenjojo-Two people died on spot while several others were severely injured in a Thursday evening accident on the Fort portal-Kampala road.
The accident involving a Baby Coach Bus Reg. No. UBA 756Z and a Fuso Lorry Reg.No.UBC 049B, occurred at Villa Maria, Kaihura Trading Centre in Kyenjojo District at around 6:45pm. James Kazooba one of the survivors says the Bus and the Fuso Lorry collided head on.
The survivors, including the lorry driver who was severely injured were rushed to various health facilities in Kyenjojo and Fort portal. Lydia Tumushabe, the Rwenzori region police spokesperson attributes the accident to over speeding by the bus driver. Identities of the deceased and survivors were yet to be established at the time of filing the story.
