Assistant Commissioner Community policing in the Uganda Police Force, Anatoli Muletelwa has urged parents to interest their children in co-curricular activities as one of the ways to fight crime in schools.

Muletelwa was on Sunday addressing parents and pupils of Winter Land Primary School in Kyebando where police in partnership with Youth Integrated Development Organization (YIDO), were spreading the gospel geared towards ending crime in schools. Muletelwa observed that co-curricular activities keep the children engaged and therefore have no time for criminal acts.

He further urged parents to always give time to their children in order to detect and avoid bad habits like drug abuse.
