Kawempe Division Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RCC), Deborah Nabukenya passed away last Tuesday evening.
Nabukenya reportedly fell ill on Tuesday morning and was rushed to Mengo Hospital and later in the evening her condition worsened leading to her sudden death.
NRM Secretary General Justine Lumumba expressed shock upon receiving the news about the death of Nabukenya.
“It's not so long ago when we last saw each other at Mulago hospital where we had gone to check on Baker. Receiving news of your demise last evening deeply shocks and saddens me. I pray the Lord strengths your family and friends through this trying time. RIP Ms Deborah Nabukenya,” Lumumba tweeted.
ICT and national guidance minister Frank Tumwebaze also took to Twitter discussing the deceased as a brilliant and active person.
“Just got disturbing news from @harderHB (Kampala Deputy RCC Herbert Anderson) about the death of an active young and brilliant youth leader the Deputy RDC of Kawempe Division, Deborah,” Tumwebaze tweeted. “Just in Pain about this young girl. She was always among the best RDCs I worked with. May the almighty God comfort her family. #RIP Deborah,” he added.
