Police has warned house partiers who are violating curfew hours by stocking and drinking alcohol all night.
Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson said that they have received intelligence that revelers stock and drink alcohol untill 6am in the morning when curfew hour ends.
"We have received intelligence information that there are people who are taking advantage of the curfew, they stock their drinks early and invite their friends for house parties on weekends. Then they leave at 6:30am to go home," Onyango said.
He said that police will starting this weekend intensify their night patrols in the city and other surrounding areas to crack down such people who are violating curfew hours on COVID-19.
"This weekend we are ready for the patrols. No more house parties," he said.
According to the Presidential directives, no bar or club will operate because it is difficult to maintain social distancing in such places. The President also barred any gatherings of more than 10 people.
In April this year, Agago District Police Commander (DPC) Samson Lubega was arrested after he allegedly attended a house party of more than 30 people organized by a businessman who returned from the UK through Dubai.
